Deane Mariotti

Deane Mariotti is a Recruiter at The K12 Search Group. In this role, Deane is responsible for leading client engagements and ensuring a robust pool of qualified candidates. Prior to joining The K12 Search Group, Deane spent nearly five years at The Chicago Public Education Fund, a venture philanthropy focused on human capital talent and leadership in Chicago’s public schools. As the Manager, Program Investments at the Fund, Deane identified investments and provided strategic management and operating assistance to a portfolio of human capital grants. Specifically, she oversaw the Expert Principals portfolio and investments in performance-based compensation initiatives.

Before joining The Chicago Public Education Fund, Deane worked in the finance and academic offices at the School District of Philadelphia. She was the founding member of the SchoolStat team, which focused on quality management and the use of data in educational systems.

Deane started her career in education as a Teach For America corps member, where she taught 5th grade in Compton, CA. Deane earned graduate degrees in Government Administration and Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her BA in International Relations, also from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was captain of the varsity women’s soccer team. Deane and her family live outside of Philadelphia.
